With gratitude we would like to announce that, The Zero Project- an initiative of the Essl Foundation, has awarded Karuna Foundation Nepal for the Inspire2Care program as one of the best global practice in livelihood for persons with a disability.
Yogendra Giri, Program Director of Karuna Foundation Nepal, together with the chairman of the board Karuna Netherlands, , accepted the award from de Austrian entrepreneur and philantropist Martin Essl on 23rd February 2017 at the Zero Conference in Vienna, Austria.
Deepak Raj Sapkota, CEO of Karuna Nepal, and Betteke de Gaay Fortman, director of Karuna Netherlands were also present.
The Zero conference and project focusses on the rights of persons with disabilities globally by providing a platform where the most innovative and effective solutions to problems that persons with disabilities face are shared.
We would like to dedicate this Award to all those with and without disabilities in the Inspire2Care communities who everyday strive to make their communities more inclusive and improve the lives of persons with disabilities.
